If you’re close to completing your Instrument Rating but feel stalled, inconsistent, or unsure about checkride readiness, our Instrument Rating Finish-Up Program is designed to bring everything together—quickly and professionally.
This is an accelerated, high-intensity program for pilots who already meet the core requirements and need structured refinement, scenario-based training, and disciplined checkride preparation.
To enroll, students must have all of the following completed prior to arrival:
✔️ A minimum of 10 hours of instrument instruction already received
✔️ FAA Instrument Rating Knowledge (Written) Test completed
✔️ Current FAA Medical Certificate or BasicMed qualification
✔️ Private Pilot Certificate
These prerequisites ensure your time is spent polishing procedures, decision-making, and IFR proficiency—not starting from scratch.
✔️ Up to 5 full days of intensive instrument flight and ground instruction
✔️ Dedicated instructor time with daily training objectives
✔️ Personalized IFR training plan based on your logbook and experience
✔️ Scenario-based IFR training (real-world decision making, not rote maneuvers)
✔️ Comprehensive instrument checkride preparation
✔️ Coordination with trusted local DPEs to support a smooth checkride process
To maintain pricing transparency, the following are not included in the program fee:
✖️ Aircraft rental
✖️ Housing
✖️ DPE / examiner fees
(These costs vary by aircraft, examiner availability, and housing preferences and are paid separately.)
While many pilots complete the program within 5 days, total training time depends on:
• IFR proficiency and consistency
• Weather and system availability
• Checkride readiness standards
If additional training is required:
Additional days are available at $950 per day.
We do not rush checkrides. Additional days are recommended only when needed to ensure safe, confident, and professional performance.
This program is ideal if you:
• Have already started Instrument training
• Have passed the FAA Instrument written exam
• Can commit to daily, focused IFR training
• Want to sharpen real-world IFR skills—not just pass a checkride
If you are missing prerequisites or early in training, we’re happy to help you determine the most efficient path forward.
Instrument flying is about judgment, precision, and consistency—not shortcuts.
Our goal is simple:
Prepare you to pass your Instrument checkride and operate confidently in real-world IFR.
